Within the last three years, the University of Life Sciences from Prague, in collaboration with National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA), with the financial support of Czech Government has offered informational, but also financial support to the groups of vegetable producers from Delacau and Puhaceni localities, Anenii noi rayon, but also to the groups of berry producers from Cazanesti village, Telenesti rayon and Dobrogea Veche village, Singerei rayon. These activities were implemented within the "Enhancement of the competitiveness and production efficiency in small and medium Moldavian farm holdings specialized in high value production within the selected target groups from the localities of Anenii Noi, Singerei and Telenesti" project.
Based on the mentioned above, during June 25-27, 2013, training seminars were held offered to the respective groups by Czech experts, headed by the professor Bohumil Havrland from the University of Life Sciences from Prague. The farmers were informed about modern technologies existing in the field and the requirements of the European market, regarding those products. The presentation of professor Ian Brindza, invited from the Slovak University in Nitra was attended with great interest. He offered valuable information regarding useful species, but which not much used; the varieties of crops which are underated, the necessity of their introduction in agricultural practice and alimentation of the population. In addition D.Sc. M.Malyi, M.Nezbeda, T. Ivanova and A. Kandakov, made speeches regarding the problems related to the maintenace and biological protection of plants, as well as the ways to solve them, marketing of vegetable products and of berries.
At the same time, during the visits made by Czech experts and the representatives of National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA), to the demonstrative plots created on the land cultivated by the mentioned groups of agricultural producers, an efficient exchange of opinions and interest took place.
The demonstrative plots of the group of agricultural producers from Delacau and Cazanesti, due to the support offered by the project were supplied with modern drip irrigation equipment, provided with automation modules, for surfaces of 0,5 ha each.
The project "Enhancement of the competitiveness and production efficiency in small and medium Moldavian farm holdings specialized in high value production within the selected target groups from the localities of Anenii Noi, Singerei and Telenesti" is being implemented by National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA) together with University of Life Sciences from Prague according to the Collaboration and Development Program of Ministry of External Affairs of Czech Republic.
