The National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA), in close cooperation with 3 polish experts from the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics, Warsaw, organized and carried out a training program in the field of European practices of collecting and analyzing farm accountancy data. The training aimed to familiarize the rural extension service advisors with the methodology of farm data collection, data analysis and development of standard, individual and comparative progress reports.
During the training program, ACSA organized also a conference titling “Monitoring methods of the state of agriculture towards formulation of common agricultural policy and operation of EU agricultural farms”. The conference was attended by the FAO representatives (Guljahan Kurbaeva – regional FAO office Europa central Asia and Diana Gherman –FAO reprezentative in Moldova), MAFI staff and ACSA advisors. The main topics presented during the conference were the project results and the important role that the Farm Accountancy Data Network play in formulation of common agricultural policy within European Union.
These actions are part of the activities that are implemented by ACSA and the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics, Warsaw under the “FADN Capacity Development Project”, a project financed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
