The National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA) is pleased to announce about the commencement of the project “Increasing rural incomes by supporting rural advisory services”. The project is being implemented by the Agricultural Advisory Center from Staro Pole, Gdansk, Poland thanks to the generous financial support of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (PolishAid).
The main purpose of the project is to acquire knowledge and experience of Poland in organizing groups of producers, implementing modern growing and marketing technologies as well as women role in developing rural businesses.
The project activities include organization of two training programs in Poland for a group of 60 persons, including ACSA advisors, representatives of local and central public authorities, agricultural producers and rural entrepreneurs; publication of leaflet disseminating information about the project; and organization of the final project conference in Chisinau.
The first training program will last 2 weeks and focus on the role of women in developing the rural businesses, especially agro tourism and regional products, with the aim to generate alternative rural incomes. The second two-weeks training program will focus on facilitation of horizontal cooperation by establishing producers’ groups/organizations and implementing modern growing and marketing technologies. The training programs will include theoretical and practical lessons, field study visits and meetings with local public authorities, agricultural producers and rural entrepreneurs.
The project will finalize with a two-days conference that will host representatives of polish partner and training programs’ participants. The main purpose of the conference is to present and inform widely about the project results.
