As to promote widely and make popular various drought mitigation measures among farmers, ACSA advisors and demo plot beneficiaries have organized and carried out about 60 field days and thematic seminars for more than 10 thousands agricultural producers.
Along with field days and seminars, ACSA has largely used mass-media channels to be active at national and local level. The project activities and results have been disseminated through periodicals like “Curierul Agricol”, national radio broadcasts (5 reports and interviews) and TV show “Bastina” (one hour program).
At local level, the regional and local rural advisors have disseminated the information through local mass-media. In addition, they have distributed 8 posters to each rural community from Moldova to be posted in publicly visible places like mayor office, schools, shops, etc. All these are to increase the number of farmers informed about the drought mitigation measures.
