Organization Profile

The National Association for Rural Development (ACSA) is a non-governmental, non-profit, apolitical organization operating nationwide in the Republic of Moldova. ACSA supports sustainable rural development by building and maintaining a professional network of advisory, information, and training service providers for farmers and rural entrepreneurs, ensuring access to practical knowledge, technical expertise, and skills that strengthen rural livelihoods and local economies.

Established in March 2001 as ‘Agency for Consultancy and Training in Agriculture’, rebranded in 2005. Between 2001–2018, ACSA implemented the Rural Extension Services component of RISP I & II (World Bank, Government of Moldova), building the national rural extension system. Over more than two decades, ACSA has implemented 123 projects, delivering technical assistance, training, and implementation support for UNDP, IFAD, FAO, World Bank, EIB, MCC, USAID, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
